Kate Turner
External Affairs Executive
Good Energy, Chippenham

Kate lives with her husband Will on the outskirts of Bromham, a small village near Chippenham. After graduating from Oxford University, she lived and worked in London for seven years before moving to Wiltshire.

Kate joined Good Energy in February 2011. Based in Chippenham, Good Energy is the UK’s only 100% renewable electricity supplier. Kate is a member of the External Affairs team which is responsible for managing Good Energy’s mission to build a green energy future and tackle climate change. As well as communicating with the media and the government, Kate works closely with CEO Juliet Davenport on presentations, writing articles, briefings and responding to journalists. Kate is particularly interested in social media like Twitter and Facebook. She writes blogs for Good Energy and works with influential partners such as Friends of the Earth, Soil Association and WWF.

Kate has an Msc in Responsible Tourism Management and volunteered on a conservation project in Madagascar for her honeymoon. Kate loves to scuba dive and has her own website about diving. She also enjoys playing hockey and going for long walks in the wonderful Wiltshire countryside. Kate has two older brothers and a younger sister; her parents are retired teachers and live in France.

Kate hopes the exchange will develop her confidence, leadership and public speaking as well as the opportunity to learn about the impact of climate change in the host countries.
