Alice is a freelance Artist and Illustrator who lives in Bridport, with her mother Liz, father Peter and cat Nellie! Alice has a boyfriend called Anthony who lives near Bristol, he loves football and cycling! A lot of her family live close by including her grandfather who is 95 years old! Alice has an older sister called Holly who is married to Andy. Alice grew up with her family outside Johannesburg, South Africa.
Alice specialises in creating quick sketches to very detailed drawings of people and landscapes. She graduated in 2010 with a 1st class BA (Hons) Drawing and Applied Arts degree. In 2010 Alice won the ‘Emerging Artist Award’ and ‘Young Artist of the Year Award’ in Bristol. Since graduating she has been working on her own work and private commissions and has now had 14 group exhibitions. Recently, Alice was commissioned to produce 50 illustrations for Bradt travel guides, illustrating local scenes in Dorset. Alice is currently working part-time as a Lead Artist in a therapeutic arts community in Bristol, she also works part-time as a waitress.
Alice enjoys visiting exhibitions, travelling, music festivals, swimming, cycling and catching up with friends and family. On the GSE trip, Alice cannot wait to meet new people from different cultures and to see the Arts role in the countries.
