Country numer 2 - Malawi!!

Just a quick blog to say that we arrived safely in Malawi yesterday. We boarded a 52 seater plane from Lusaka in Zambia at 11:30ish local time yesterday and flew to Blantyre, Malawi, stoppping off at Harare, Zimbabwe, for half an hour. We then got off the plane at Blantyre, collected our bags, checked in, went through security and boarded the same plane to Lilongwe!!

Today, Adele visited an amazing youth project called NANSADI where she got to lead some  of the project with the young people. Seb visited a construction site, Kate visited a biofuel company and Alice visited an art store and printing company. So, all in all a pretty good day vocationally.

Tomorrow, we are due to visit a tobacco factory (Malawi's main export is tobacco!) and then a cultural market. We have a presentation at the Rotary club of Lilongwe in the evening. On Saturday we will drive to the lake for the weekend. More information and photos to follow...

  1. Look forward to seeing the vocational pics - RI will be interested in those in your final report.
Have a great rest at the Lake - you deserve it! I told you it was 'full on' - but what an experience eh? PDG David
